There is nothing I could say that comes close to expressing the essence of Oakland as well as Catherine’s sign. Born and raised in the Bushrod neighborhood of Oakland (and now raising her children here), Catherine lives on the same block as many members of her large, extended family. With her mother upstairs and cousins and aunts next door and across the street, family is everything.
