Atiim Chenzira grew up in East Oakland and still has plenty of family there. He now calls the Golden Gate neighborhood his home. Atiim is a musician, a songwriter, a spoken word poet, a community activist and a family therapist. From the short period of time I spent with him, I would also add that Atiim is committed, compassionate and compelling and represents the best of what Oakland is all about.
