Grand Lake
You could walk up and down the streets of our fair city for days on end and not find a sweeter or more charming couple than Lee & Eva. Lee came from the other side of the world to find Oakland, and in the process she found Eva and they made a home together in Oakland’s Grand Lake neighborhood.
Oakland is unlike any city I have lived because of its thriving & supportive community. That community provides a platform for human connection & inspiration making Oakland, in my opinion, one of the most interesting & creative cities to live in.
Diversity, kindness and local is my way of describing Oakland! I met you — Stephen Texeira — through Merritt Slackers on a Saturday at the Lake! Everyone was welcoming and engaging, wanting me to be a part of the environment. That is what Oakland represents: PEOPLE BEING THEMSELVES AND INVITING OTHERS TO BE THEMSELVES.
