15th Street Merchants between Franklin & Harrison in the Oaksterdam Neighborhood — If you didn’t know that Oaksterdam was an actual neighborhood in Oakland, don’t be too hard on yourself. Located between 14th and 19th streets and between Harrison St. and Telegraph Ave., Oaksterdam is no more than about 20 blocks, but is home to a diverse collection of restaurants, galleries, and small businesses as well as two institutions of higher learning, Lincoln University and Oaksterdam University (the nation’s first cannabis college).
